I had an uncle, who every day would wake up and say good morning to life. A few years ago, he died unexpectedly. When I went to his funeral, the church was PACKED full of teenagers. Turns out he volunteered at a local high school, and many of those teenagers told me they wouldn’t be alive today without him. His love of life and all people GMH.

When my friend and I were 16, my friend’s mom was told she had four months to live. My friend never knew her father, and did not want to go to live with him. Her mom held on for two years. A few weeks after my friend turned 18 and could look after herself, her mom finally let go. Her courage through her pain and her love for her daughter GMH.

A few months ago I went on a trip to Paris. I saw a woman with her friend who was blind. She helped him up the Eiffel Tower and when we all were close to the top he’d asked if they were there yet. At the top, he got down on one knee and proposed to her. She said yes. Love is never blind. That GMH.

When I was 4 years old, my family went on a Disney cruise. I was so excited…but I ended up getting sea sick. As I gloomily watched the other kids play with Mickey, I felt a someone tap my shoulder. It was Donald Duck. He stayed by my side the entire time, making sure I was having fun. To this day, he’s still my favorite character. Donald Duck GMH

A while ago, I mentioned to my girlfriend that I had a big exam today. This morning, I received a text from her wishing me good luck and ending with “I love you so much”. I just found out she was rushed into hospital at 5 AM and asked her friend to send the text for her. Her thoughtfulness and LGMH.

When I first started dating my boyfriend, we were sitting on a couch one night when he started crying. We had been talking a bit about his mother, who died about six years ago. When I asked him why he was crying he replied, “I just really wish she could have met you, the love of my life.” LGMH
